$1.45M in Stolen Trucks, Trailers, and Cargo Recovered in Peel Police Bust; Brampton Men Inderjit Singh Walia and Narinder Shoker Charged

Peel Regional Police have arrested and charged two men from Brampton in connection to an ongoing theft and re-vinning of tractors and trailers.

On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, police responded to a report of a fraud in progress at a trucking yard and truck repair facility in the area of Derry Road East and Beckett Drive in Mississauga.

Investigators from Commercial Auto Crime Bureau conducted a search warrant the following day which led to the discovery of 14 re-vinned trailers, one stolen trailer, three re-vinned transports, and two stolen transports that were in the process of being dismantled. Two of the trailers also contained refrigeration units loaded with raspberries and beef, which were successfully recovered and returned to the victim companies

Inderjit Singh Walia, a 50-year-old man from Brampton and Narinder Shoker, a 43-year-old man from Brampton were charged with:

• Tampering with Vehicle Identification Number x 17

• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x 3

In addition, Shoker has also been charged with Breach of Probation.

The accused are scheduled to appear later at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

To date, approximately $1.45 million worth of items recovered including trucks, trailers and cargo.

This investigation is ongoing, and investigators continue to probe the full extent of the operation and identify additional victims and individuals connected to this criminal activity.
