13-Year-Old Charged with First-Degree Murder After Fatal Stabbing of Man in Toronto

A 13-year-old has been charged with first-degree murder following the fatal stabbing of a 54-year-old man in Toronto.

The incident occurred around 12:21 a.m. on Tuesday, October 1, in the Jane Street and St. Clair Avenue West area. Toronto Police responded to reports of a stabbing and found the man bleeding in a parking lot. Despite efforts by emergency crews to save him, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the identity of the victim, awaiting notification of his next of kin.

Due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the 13-year-old suspect cannot be named.

According to reports, the victim was unhoused and often stayed in the area. The circumstances leading to the stabbing remain unclear as the investigation continues.
