York Region paramedics told CP24 that the individual fell from a height of 30 to 40 feet before being transported to a trauma center. The severity of the injuries and the current condition of the person were not disclosed.

The circumstances leading to the fall remain unclear. The Swing of the Century, formerly known as Swing of Siam, is one of the original 26 rides from when Canada’s Wonderland opened its doors in 1981. The ride features free-hanging seats attached to a rotating and tilting tower, accommodating up to 48 riders.

As the investigation continues, the park emphasizes its commitment to safety.
