21 year old Punjabi Boy Charged In a 2 Vehicle Collision Hitting 2 Women

Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau alongside 21 Division are investigating the circumstances of a violent crash which occurred at the intersection of Mountainash Road and Countryside Drive in Brampton.

On Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 10:24 p.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle collision at the aforementioned intersection, which left two women in hospital with serious but thankfully non-life-threatening injuries.

Home surveillance footage of the collision has been circulating online, which shows a dark Audi travelling at excess speed colliding with a left-turning vehicle which was occupied by the injured women.

The Audi was being driven by 21-year-old Baldeep Sandhar, who presently resides in Brampton. He was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing. He has been charged with the following five offences:

Investigators are reviewing evidence, including multiple video angles, and investigating the possibility that another vehicle may be involved. They are asking anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to contact the Major Collision Bureau at 905-453-3311.
