560 SUB INSPECTORS OF PUNJAB POLICE AS CM HANDS OVER APPOINTMENT LETTERS TO THEM
Jalandhar: Setting another benchmark in the state, the state government led by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Saturday touched the mark of 35848 government jobs given to youth merely within more than a year in its tenure.
Addressing the gathering after handing over appointment letters to 560 new Sub Inspectors in the Punjab Police, the Chief Minister said that the appointment letters of these cops have been delayed by two years due to apathy of previous state governments adding he exhorted the new cops to judiciously use their post for the welfare of the people and securing justice for them rather than harassing them. He said that the state government is committed for ensuring the well being of the people for which stupendous efforts are being made. Reiterating the firm commitment of his government to ensure welfare of state, Bhagwant Singh Mann no stone will be left unturned for this noble cause.
Congratulating the newly inducted officers and their families, the Chief Minister expressed hope that they will discharge their duty with honesty, diligence and dedication. He said that these days have been made special as the earlier governments never bothered to give jobs to the youth with bribe and recommendations. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that his government has made sure that only the eligible, deserving and bright students are selected on the basis of their merit.
The Chief Minister said that it is a matter of great pride and satisfaction that the state government has hitherto provided more than 35,000 jobs to the youth in various departments of the state government. He said that it is a record as none of the previous governments have given so many jobs to youth especially in the first year. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that merit and transparency have been the twin pillars on the basis of which jobs have been given to the youth across the state.
The Chief Minister said that the sole motive of this is to make Punjab a front runner state in the country by opening jobs for the bright youth of the state. He said that 95% of the youth selected on these 560 posts are from the state and are domicile of the state. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that all these cops have cleared Punjabi language in merit and are have excelled in education and competitive exam.
