Manish Sisodia alleges ‘mental harassment’; CBI custody extended by 2 days
by The Canadian Parvasi
Former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia’s Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) custody was extended by two days by Rouse Avenue Court on Saturday after Sisodia was arrested on Sunday in relation to the alleged corruption in the now-scrapped liquor policy of Delhi for 2021-22. The court further instructed CBI to produce him in front of the court again on Monday.
Sisodia stated before the court, “They are not using third-degree. But sitting for eight to nine hours and answering the same questions again and again, that too is mental harassment.”
In response to the former deputy chief minister’s statements, Special judge M K Nagpal directed the central probe agency to not ask him the “same questions again and again”, according to media reports.
“If you have something new, ask him,” the judge added.
