CM Mann Says Over 300 Corrupt Officials Put Behind Bars in 1 Year Thanks to Ant-corruption Campaign

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has shared that in the past one year, over 300 corrupt officials have been put behind bars. He stated that since the day he was appointed in charge of his office, they have adopted a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. Mann added that in case anyone from the public comes across a bribery, they should record it and share it on the anti-corruption action line.

Through a video message, CM Bhagwant Mann shared an update on the anti-corruption campaign undertaken by his government. He stated that from the day he was appointed in charge of his office, the government has taken a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. Because of this campaign, over 300 corrupt officials have been arrested in the past one year. These officials were caught based off the complaints received by people on the Whatsapp number 9501200200.

“I pledge that my government will further make strenuous efforts to provide clean, transparent and responsive governance to the people of state,” he added.

He praised the anti-corruption helpline that was launched on this day last year. He is proud and satisfied by its performance and also said that Aam Aadmi Party is a result of the anti-corruption campaign.

CM Mann added that if anyone comes across someone demanding a bribe of any kind, they should make an audio or video recording and share it on the anti-corruption action line. He said that every single penny that has been acquired by unfair means will be returned to the public.

The CM seems to be confident about keeping to his promise of a corruption-free, transparent and clean administration. He has received the full support of Punjabis for this cause.
