Southern Ontario to experience bone-chilling cold as a cold front sweeps through.
Get ready to bundle up, as an arctic blast is set to sweep across southern Ontario, plunging temperatures to frigid lows this weekend. Wind chill values are expected to make it feel as cold as -25°C in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and beyond, marking a sharp contrast from the milder weather earlier this week.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), temperatures reached a mild 6°C on Tuesday at Toronto Pearson Airport. However, a cold front moving in will bring drastically colder conditions starting Wednesday, with snow and highs of 3°C. By Thursday and Friday, daytime highs will hover around the freezing mark, while nighttime temperatures could drop to -10°C in Mississauga, Brampton, Durham Region, Burlington, and Oakville.
