AAP MLA Amit Rattan Arrested by Vigilance Bureau for Taking Rs. 4 Lakh Bribe

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amit Rattan has been arrested for taking a bribe of Rs. 4 lakh, according to the latest reports. The Personal Assistant (PA) of the AAP MLA accepted the bribe which was said to be for passing a bill.

According to a new report, AAP MLA Amit Rattan Kotfatta, has been arrested for taking a bribe of Rs. 4 lakh. He accepted the bribe from Pritpal Kaka, the husband of village Ghuda’s lady Sarpanch, Seema Rani. The report also states that the arrest was confirmed by a spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau (VB). Resham Garg, who is the PA of the MLA, was the one who accepted the bribe.

While exact details about the transaction are currently unclear, as per Pritpal’s claims, the MLA asked for a bribe of 20 percent for passing the bill of Sarpanch of Ghudda village. He then gave the MLA’s PA Rs. 4 lakh as instructed by the MLA. The money was then recovered from the MLA’s car. According to the VB spokesperson, Garg has been arrested as well.

Amit Rattan Kotfatta is an AAP MLA representing the Bathinda Rural Assembly constituency in the Punjab Legislative Assembly.
