Nana Patekar claims in a new video that he slapped a child as part of a scenario, but the boy was actually a fan and not a member of the crew.
In a new video released by ANI, Nana Patekar offers his side of the story, one day after a video surfaced online showing him striking a fan for taking a photo with him on set. He claimed that the scene in which he smacked the youngster was from his upcoming movie. At the time, he believed the fan to be a member of the crew who was meant to be in the scene, but he later found out that the boy was a true fan.
Nana Patekar describes the moment.
In the video, Nana speaks in Hindi and says, “Namaskar.” I hit a boy in a video that went viral. In one scene, a child approaches me from behind and asks, “Ae budhau, topi bechni hai (hey old man, do you want to sell your hat)?” I catch him, slap him, and tell him to behave himself, at which point he flees the scene.
