Accused in sacrilege incident attempts suicide

Faridkot: Vicky Masih, the accused caught in the case of desecration of  Gutka Sahib in Golewala village near Faridkot, tried to commit suicide by cutting his throat while in police custody.  Police personnel admitted the seriously injured accused to Guru Gobind Singh Medical.  On April 23, two people in a car in Golewala tore the pages of Gutka Sahib and scattered them on the road. Based on the CCTV footage, the accused Vicky Masih and Roop Lal were arrested by the police.

The police presented both the accused in court and obtained police remand for 4 days till April 28. During police remand, Vicky Masih tried to commit suicide by cutting her throat with a bullet.
