The Ontario Provincial Police is offering a $100,000 reward to anyone providing information relevant to the kidnapping of Elnaz Hajtamiri, who was reportedly kidnapped from a residence in Wasaga Beach, Ontario last year.

37-year-old Elnaz Hajtamiri was reportedly forcibly taken from a relative’s house by three masked men dressed in police gear at night on Jan.12, 2022. Hajtamiri was then reportedly taken away by the men in a white, 2016 to 2022-model Lexus RX 350 SUV.

While at a press conference announcing the reward on Thursday, Ontario Provincial Police Det.-Insp. Martin Graham stated, “Her family is grieving her absence and has lived through a year with limited answers…We cannot imagine the pain they are experiencing.”

“The smallest bit of information, as always, may be able to bring resolution to a family that is distraught and desperate for answers,” he added.

Just one week prior to the kidnapping in Wasaga Beach, Hajtamiri was reportedly assaulted in a Richmond Hill, Ontario parking lot with a frying pan. In connection to the attack, her ex-boyfriend, 35-year-old Mohamad Lilo, as well as two other suspects, Riyasat Singh and Harshdeep Binner, were charged with attempted murder and attempted kidnapping. Singh plead guilty to aggravated assault and was reportedly deported last month.

Lilo and Binner’s cases, however, still supposedly remain before the courts.
