17-Year-Old Youth Arrested in Brampton Park Shooting
On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, the victim was at an event at a park near Queen Street East and Bramalea Road in Brampton when the victim was shot.
Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested and charged a young person with Attempted Murder.
On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, the victim was at an event at a park near Queen Street East and Bramalea Road in Brampton when the victim was shot. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
On Wednesday, May 15, 2024, investigators arrested and charged a 17-year-old youth from Brampton with Attempted Murder.
The youth is being held for a bail hearing and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a Young Person, and, therefore, the identity of the Young Person charged in this investigation is protected.
