19-Year-Old Gurman Cheema Arrested For Crash That Killed Woman In Brampton

A 64-year-old female was fatally killed, and a 54-year-old female received non-life-threatening injuries.  Both were residents of Brampton.

Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau have arrested and charged a motorist following a fatal collision that happened in the City of Brampton.

On Sunday, October 22, 2023 at 9:29 a.m., a Black Lexus sedan was travelling westbound on Queen Street East between Dixie Road and Central Park Drive in Brampton, when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crossed over into the eastbound lanes, colliding with two other vehicles.

A 64-year-old female was fatally killed, and a 54-year-old female received non-life-threatening injuries.  Both were residents of Brampton.

On Thursday, November 16, 2023, a 19-year-old male, Gurman Cheema of Brampton was charged with the following offence:

  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Death

He will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on a later date.
