4.3 magnitude earthquake reported off Vancouver Island

A minor earthquake of 4.3 magnitude hit the west coast of Vancouver Island on Wednesday morning.

The 4.3 magnitude earthquake struck the west coast at 2:04 am, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The earthquake was reportedly 10 km deep with the epicentre in the ocean about 181 kilometres from Port McNeil, British Columbia. No consequent tsunami is expected so far, according to media reports.
