4.4 magnitude earthquake hits Nepal, tremors felt in Delhi-NCR

An earthquake, said to be of 5.2 magnitude on the Richter scale, hit Nepal Wednesday afternoon, with tremors of the earthquake being observed in the Delhi-NCR region as well, according to media reports.

The earthquake reportedly hit the Bichhiya in the Bajura district, 69 km from Jumla in Nepal with a depth of 10 k at around 1.30 p.m. in the afternoon.

According to media reports, as a result of the earthquake, tremors were felt as far as the Delhi-NCR region.

Nepal, since the past few months, has been experiencing several earthquakes of varying intensities. On January 24 of this year, a 5.8 magnitude earthquake hit the region.

Back in November of 2022, another earthquake hit the county, with a 6.3 magnitude on the Richter scale.
