4 of Indian-American family found dead in house in California
California: A family of four from Kerala was on Tuesday found dead at their house in San Mateo, California. The four have been identified as Anand Sujith Henry (42), wife Alice Priyanka (40), and their twin children Noah and Neithan (4). According to the San Mateo police, two of the victims died from gunshot wounds, while the cause of death for the other two is yet to be determined.
“Tragically, the two children were found deceased inside a bedroom. Their cause of death is still under investigation. The male and female were located deceased from gunshot wounds inside a bathroom. A 9mm pistol and a loaded magazine were also found in the bathroom.
Our Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) took over the investigation and responded to the scene. The San Mateo County Crime Lab arrived and assisted our officers with evidence collection. The San Mateo County Coroner took custody of the four bodies and are working to positively identify each person and notify next of kin,” said San Mateo police.
Anand and Alice were IT professionals who had been living in the US for nine years. The Indian Consulate in San Francisco has been in touch with the family in India and is providing them with consular assistance. The consulate has also expressed its condolences to the bereaved family and the Indian-American community.
