44 year old Punjabi charged for killing a woman in Brampton park
On Friday, a woman was fatally stabbed at Sparrow Park in Brampton, leading to the arrest of a 44-year-old man who has now been charged in connection with the incident. The Peel police received a call for medical assistance at approximately 6 p.m., prompting their arrival at the park located near Cherrytree Drive and Sparrow Court.
Upon reaching the scene, officers discovered a woman on a footpath who had sustained evident trauma from stabbing. Despite efforts to save her life, the victim, identified as 43-year-old Davinder Kaur, was pronounced dead at the location.
Meanwhile, the authorities located and apprehended the suspect, Nav Nishan Singh, two kilometers away from the crime scene. The police announced on Saturday that Singh, aged 44, is facing a first-degree murder charge. He made an appearance in court on Saturday morning.
Although the police confirmed that the victim and the suspect were acquainted, they did not disclose the nature of their relationship.
