5 Mississauga teenagers, including 14-year-old, arrested for armed carjacking

A total of five teenagers, including a 14-year-old boy have been arrested in connection with two separate armed carjacking incidents, both in Mississauga, Peel Regional Police said on Thursday.

Police arrested a 14-year-old boy along with two 17-year-olds from Mississauga for approaching a food delivery agent late Wednesday night, threatening him with sharp-edged objects and fleeing with his vehicle.

Police said the vehicle was located soon after and the three youngsters were taken into custody and their weapons were recovered.

All the accused are being charged with robbery and wearing a disguise with intent. The 14-year-old is also being charged with breaching probation for several previous offenses, including robbery, assault, uttering threats and possessing weapons.

In a similar incident on August 15, four suspects attempted to steal a vehicle from a female victim, while armed with edged weapons. Two of those suspects, both 17-year-old boys, were located and arrested on Wednesday, Peel Regional Police said.

They are being charged with robbery and wearing a disguise with intent.

All five accused from both incidents are all currently held for bail hearings and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton, police said.
