The victim, Pawanpreet Kaur, a 21-year-old woman from Brampton, was the gas station attendant and had been shot multiple times and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Peel Regional Police have partnered with the “Be On The Lookout” (BOLO) program in an effort to locate and arrest some of the most wanted criminals in Canada. The program was developed in cooperation with Canadian police services and Crime Stoppers programs.

The BOLO program concentrates on persons who are wanted for serious crimes. It is a breakthrough initiative leveraging social media, technology, and innovative engagement to encourage citizens to be on the lookout for Canada’s most wanted.

The BOLO Program amplifies the media surrounding outstanding Canada-wide warrants. The aim is to reach wider audiences on multiple platforms over extended periods of time. Financial rewards are offered as incentives for the public to provide information. In all BOLO cases, police services have already requested the public’s help. Citizens are asked to be on the lookout for these individuals and to send tips to Peel Regional Police or Crime Stoppers.
