On Thursday Morning, The Bathinda Vigilance Bureau reportedly arrested Bathinda Rural MLA Amit Rattan in relation to a bribery case, according to media reports.
While the Vigilance Bureau is yet to give a statement regarding the alleged arrest, media reports suggest that the AAP Rural MLA was arrested Thursday morning near Karnal in Haryana after a complaint regarding the same was reportedly lodged by the husband of the Ghudda village sarpanch.
It may be pertinent to note that the VB had also previously arrested a supposed associate of the MLA in a corruption case.
The news is not the first time the AAP rural MLA found himself in hot water while in the public eye. Rattan had previously been expelled from the SAD for allegedly duping individuals under the pretence of providing them with jobs.
Congress leader Harvinder Laddi on Thursday also declared that he would stage a protest outside the office of the Vigilance Bureau in Bathinda.
