After SC, Manish Sisodia moves Delhi court for bail in excise policy scam

Delhi’s former deputy chief minister, Manish Sisodia, who was arrested on Sunday in relation to the alleged corruption in the now-scrapped liquor policy of Delhi for 2021-22, filed a plea for bail in a city court on Friday after the Supreme Court’s ruling suggesting the same.
According to Sisodia’s lawyer, the bail plea will most likely be presented before special judge M K Nagpal on Saturday. It may be pertinent to note that the former deputy chief minister of the national capital is scheduled to be presented before in Rouse Avenue court on Saturday as his CBI remand, which began Monday, is set to end tomorrow.
