On June 1st, In Sault Ste. On June 7th, the Gabegendaadowin Training Program will be officially launched in Sault Ste. Marie. Upcoming launches in Timmins and Brampton will take place later this summer.
AARC Open House
On June 14 we will host our First Annual Anishinaabe Academic Resource Centre Open House at the Speakeasy which will be open to Algoma University and local Indigenous communities.

National Indigenous People’s Day Celebrations
On June 22nd, the Anishinaabe Academic Resource Centre will participate in the City of Brampton’s National Indigenous People’s Day Celebrations.
TIMMINS
Outreach Event
On June 1st from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM the AARC and AU Timmins are partnering with the Mattagami First Nation to welcome Indigenous community members and high school students from District School Board Ontario Northeast and the Northeastern Catholic District School Board to our AU Timmins campus for an outreach event. This event will highlight Algoma Universty’s programs and activities led by the AARC. Information on the upcoming AU/Mattagami First Nation land camp will also be provided to the students.
National Indigenous People’s Day Celebrations
On June 21st from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM please visit AU Timmins at their booth as they celebrate National Indigenous People’s Day Celebrations with the Timmins Indigenous Organizations Committee at Hollinger Park – Timmins.
