The first two of the series of assaults were reported in late November, according to a news release from the Victoria Police Department. The most recent, however, was reported last Thursday where a group of women reported being sprayed with a liquid that caused a burning sensation on their skin.
“These women reported feeling burning sensations and skin irritation after a hot-feeling liquid was splashed on their legs. Since these initial reports, there have been additional similar incidents…The victims reported that the liquid had damaged their nylons and caused a burning sensation on their skin,” the statement read.
Police authorities arrested a suspect in relation to the case on Friday, according to the Victoria Police Department. However, the identity of the suspect has not been made public and charges against the arrested are yet to be approved.
The Victoria Police Department believes that there may be additional victims of the assault and are urging victims and people with pertinent information to come forward.
