Brampton Farmers’ Market Returns to Downtown Core, Bringing Fresh Produce and Handcrafted Delights for Summer

Get ready for summer as the Brampton Farmers’ Market is set to return to the city’s downtown core on Saturday, June 10th. Running every Saturday until October 7th, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the market will feature a wide variety of local vendors, farmers, and artisans offering freshly picked seasonal produce, handcrafted goods, and much more.

The vendors will be located on Wellington Street West, stretching from George Street to Main Street South, and in Gage Park. This special event transforms the downtown area and has become a staple in the community.

Mayor Patrick Brown expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “The Brampton Farmers’ Market transforms our downtown every Saturday in the summer and is a can’t-miss staple event. We look forward to welcoming back all the incredible farmers and vendors who make our community unique and contribute to the overall health and well-being of our City.”

You can visit the City’s website for a complete list of vendors. This year, the Farmers’ Market is presented by Meridian Credit Union and sponsored by Algoma University, Attrell Toyota, and Flato Developments.

If you plan on driving to the market, free parking is available at the following garages and parking lots:

– Market Square Parking Garage (Theatre Lane & Union St.)
– John St. Parking Garage (16 John St.)
– West Tower Parking Garage (41 George St.)
– Nelson Square Parking Garage (9 Diplock Lane)
– George St. N. Surface Parking Lot (20 George St. N.)

Please note that the Brampton City Hall Parking Garage will be closed for repairs from late June until late summer.

Furthermore, due to the water main and sanitary sewer replacement on Main Street South, road closures will be in effect. Northbound Main Street South will be closed to through traffic from Wellington to Queen Street. Detour routes will be clearly marked with road signs, and pedestrian access to businesses will be maintained. Southbound Main Street South will remain open but will be reduced to one lane from just north of Queen Street to Wellington Street.
