Brampton Resident is Facing Charges After Failing to Stop Post a Collision in Kitchener

A Brampton resident is currently facing charges after reportedly fleeing the scene of a collision near Kitchener last week. The incident took place around 4:40 p.m. on July 3, prompting officers from the Perth detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) to respond to the area of Road 164 and Perth Line 20, located approximately 74 kilometers west of Kitchener.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the accident. However, according to authorities, the driver of a pick-up truck collided with a sedan before quickly leaving the scene without stopping.

Law enforcement officials managed to locate the pick-up truck in Stratford, situated about 20 kilometers away from West Perth, where the collision occurred.

As a result, a 33-year-old individual from Brampton, identified as Prabjeet Singh, was taken into custody and subsequently charged.

Singh now faces charges that include failing to stop after an accident, failing to yield to traffic on a through highway, and failing to surrender his driver’s license. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on July 31. However, it is important to note that none of the allegations against Singh have been proven in court.
