In a heartbreaking development, the mother of Gurvinder Nath, a 24-year-old international student who was tragically killed in a violent carjacking while delivering pizza in Mississauga, took her own life upon learning of her son’s untimely death.
Gurvinder Nath, a promising young man who came to Canada to pursue his dreams, was fatally assaulted on July 9 while answering a delivery call on Emerson Lane near Britannia Road and Creditview. Unbeknownst to his family in India, he was lured into a deadly trap by ruthless criminals.
According to the Peel Regional Police Homicide Bureau, Gurvinder was violently assaulted upon arriving at the listed address, leaving him severely injured. The attacker then brutally stole his car and fled, leaving him in a desperate state. Passers-by came to his aid and quickly called for medical assistance. Tragically, despite the brave efforts of the medical team, Gurvinder died of his injuries on July 14.
Heartbreaking news reached his family in India, but, news of Gurvinder’s death was kept from his mother. As the details emerged, the mother’s pain and suffering became unbearable, leading her to make the heartbreaking decision to take her own life.
