Canada-Wide Arrest Warrant Issued for Truck Driver Navjeet Singh, 29, After Manitoba Crash Kills Mother and 8-Year-Old

The RCMP confirmed that officers attempted to find him in Winnipeg but have been unable to determine his whereabouts.

A Canada-wide arrest warrant has been issued for Navjeet Singh, a 25-year-old truck driver from Brampton, Ontario, in connection with a tragic collision near Altona, Manitoba, that claimed the lives of a mother and her eight-year-old daughter.

The Manitoba RCMP identified Singh as the driver of the semi-truck involved in the fatal crash last Friday, approximately 13 kilometers west of Altona. Singh is facing two charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and one charge of obstructing a peace officer. The allegations have yet to be proven in court.

According to investigators, the semi-truck failed to stop at an intersection, resulting in a devastating collision with an SUV. The SUV’s 35-year-old driver and her young daughter were pronounced dead at the scene. Singh, who was initially hospitalized for injuries sustained in the crash, was later released.

Efforts to locate Singh have so far been unsuccessful. The RCMP confirmed that officers attempted to find him in Winnipeg but have been unable to determine his whereabouts. This prompted the issuance of a nationwide arrest warrant.

“Officers have attempted to locate Mr. Singh in Winnipeg without success, and as a result, a Canada-wide warrant of arrest has been issued,” stated the RCMP in an official release.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about Singh’s location to come forward. Tips can be directed to local police, the Pembina Valley RCMP at 204-822-5469, or anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
