Caught On Camera: Violent carjacking in Milton plaza

A bystander captured a violent carjacking on film in the Milton Plaza today. Police are now on the hunt for the two suspects that can be seen in the video.

In the horrific video, it appears the truck hits an SUV. Two men then get out of the truck and run to the SUV, where one of the suspects breaks the driver’s side window, strikes a woman and pulls her out of the vehicle while the other culprit jumps into the passenger seat.
The pair then speed away in the stolen SUV leaving the woman injured on the pavement of the parking lot.
According to Halton Regional Police, details of the incident are sketchy at this time, but it’s confirmed the Robbery Unit is investigating the incident.
Some accounts on social media say the white pickup truck was involved in a high-speed chase by police on Derry Rd, before entering the plaza.
Police, however, told inhalton.com there is no indication that any police vehicles were involved in a chase.
