In relation to the alleged corruption in the now-scrapped liquor policy of Delhi for 2021-22, the Central Bureau of Investigation on Sunday arrested Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who had been continuously questioned by the law enforcement agency since the morning, according to media reports.
Sisodia arrived at the CBI headquarters at around 11:12 am for a second round of questioning where he was allegedly probed regarding the Excise policy, his alleged link with Dinesh Arora and others named in the FIR, and messages sent from multiple phones, media outlets detail.
Previously, the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi has stated that he was ready for a 7-8 month jail term, with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal asserting that he would take care of the Deputy CM’s family.
The arrest was made after about nine hours of questioning, media reports further added.
