CM TO HAND OVER JOB LETTERS TO 710 PATWARIS ON FRIDAY
Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Wednesday said that in order to provide clean, transparent and accountable citizen centric services to the people, 710 newly appointed Patwaris will be given job letters during a function on September 8.
The Chief Minister said that the induction of new Patwaris is aimed at streamlining the working of the Revenue department for facilitating the common man. He said that the motive is to ensure that people get the facilities in a time bound, prompt and hassle free manner. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these 710 Patwaris have already been selected through a transparent recruitment process but were not yet given the appointment letters in wake of some pending formalities.
The Chief Minister said that now the necessary conditions have been fulfilled soon and these newly recruited Patwaris will be handed over the appointment letters on Friday. Bhagwant Singh Mann envisioned that pen in these new and young hands will act as a pivot to transform the society and carve out a corruption free society in the coming days. Similarly, he said that 741 Patwaris who have already completed 15 months training out of the mandatory 18 months are being put on duty as regular patwari in the field.
Likewise, the Chief Minister further said that more posts of Patwaris will also be advertised soon so as to give a chance to the youth of Punjab to serve the state. He said that corruption in public life will not be tolerated at any cost and severest of severe action will be taken against those indulging in this immoral act. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that his government is firmly committed to weed out this menace from the state so that a transparent and effective mechanism for public welfare can be ensured.
