A disproportionate assets investigation has also been ordered by the CM. The three reports also call for investigating other police officials that might be involved in the nexus.
As per the reports, Raj Jit and Inderjit Singh were accused of collusion as they allegedly planted money on innocents to extort money and help actual drug smugglers by leaving loopholes in the investigation. The reports state that Raj Jit had on two occasions ensured that Inderjit was posted in the districts that he was heading as police chief.
They also list various properties worth crores that are allegedly owned by Raj Jit, which is why the disproportionate assets case has been launched against him.
Since these reports are from 2018, at the time, Inderjit Singh was arrested but no action was taken against Raj Jit.
