Four people are in police custody, two of whom are in hospital, and several cop cars have been damaged after Peel Regional Police spotted a stolen car in Mississauga this afternoon (March 15), which was later pulled over in Toronto.
Police haven’t released many details about the incident, saying only that a stolen vehicle was discovered around 1:30 p.m. in Mississauga’s Malton neighborhood, near the Toronto border.
While police did not say whether a chase ensued, they did say the vehicle was stopped a short time later in the Rexwood Rd./Hwy. 27 area of Toronto and that there was “damage to cruisers.”
According to police, two of the suspects were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Peel police are still investigating, and Toronto police are assisting with road closures in the area.
No charges have been filed as of yet.
