Father dead, son wanted in homicide investigation: Hamilton police

The incident unfolded near the intersection of Mud Street and Trafalgar Drive at 7:42 p.m. on Saturday evening, prompting a swift response from Hamilton Police.

Upon arriving at the scene, emergency responders discovered the victim, identified as Kuldip Singh, with severe injuries. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Singh was later pronounced deceased. Witnesses within the residence have informed investigators that the suspect, identified as 22-year-old Sukhraj Cheema-Singh, hastily fled the premises in a dark-colored SUV immediately after the altercation.

Cheema-Singh is now the subject of a manhunt, facing charges of first-degree murder. Hamilton Police have issued a warning, emphasizing that he is considered armed and dangerous, especially as the weapon used in the incident has yet to be recovered.

According to the latest reports, the suspect is believed to be driving a dark blue Ford Edge SUV with a Quebec license plate. The vehicle, identified as an Enterprise Rental Car, was last seen heading northbound on Trafalgar towards Mud Street.
