Firearm Recovered From Anthony Sidhu And Roel Lloyd of Brampton, Arrested After Police Chase

Officers from 22 Division located a loaded firearm and laid numerous firearm-related charges after conducting a traffic stop in Brampton.

On December 28th, members of 22 Division’s Bicycle Patrol Unit and Community Intervention Response Team (CIRT) were on patrol near Church Street and Union Street in Brampton when they conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area.

During the traffic stop, the two occupants got out of the vehicle and began to flee from the officers who immediately pursued them on foot. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of the officers as well as the K9 unit, both occupants were arrested and a loaded firearm was recovered.

As a result of the investigation, Anthony Sidhu, a 22 year-old man from Brampton was charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition knowing it’s

  • Carrying a Concealed Weapon

  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

  • Occupant of a Motor Vehicle knowing there is a Firearm

  • Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm

Additionally, Roel Lloyd, a 22-year-old man from Brampton was charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition

  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

  • Occupant of a Motor Vehicle knowing there is a Firearm

  • Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm

  • Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Order

Both men were held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
