Food Delivery Driver Succumbs to Injuries Following Brutal Carjacking in Mississauga

In a tragic incident, a young food delivery driver has lost his life after a violent carjacking in Mississauga. Peel Regional Police have identified the victim as Gurvinder Nath, a 24-year-old resident of Brampton.

According to the police news release on Monday, the incident occurred on July 9 around 2:10 a.m. while Nath was on duty in the vicinity of Britannia Road and Creditview Road. Upon arriving at a delivery address, he was confronted by a group of unknown individuals, leading to a distressing physical altercation.

In a bid to flee the scene, the perpetrators made off with Nath’s vehicle, leaving him seriously injured by the side of the road. Paramedics rushed him to a trauma center immediately, but tragically, he succumbed to his life-threatening injuries on Friday, five days after the harrowing attack.

Peel Regional Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the attack or possesses dashboard camera footage from the area to come forward with information. The authorities are seeking assistance from the public in solving this heartbreaking case and bringing those responsible to justice.

This incident has left the community in shock and mourning for the loss of a young life taken away too soon. The focus now lies on finding the culprits and ensuring the safety of those who serve the community in their line of duty.
