Former MLA Kuldeep Singh Vaid’s Residence Raided by Vigilance Bureau in Disproportionate Assets Case

Punjab Vigilance Bureau has conducted raids at former MLA Kuldeep Singh Vaid’s residence in a disproportionate assets case. Vaid stated that he is cooperating with the Vigilance Bureau and that whatever documents are required will be provided.

On Monday, a technical team of the Punjab Vigilance Bureau searched former MLA Kuldeep Singh Vaid’s residence and a café in the Sarabha Nagar area in Ludhiana. Ludhiana SSP (Vigilance) Ravinderpal Singh shared that a vigilance inquiry is underway because of which the team has arrived at the residence of Vaid.

According to a report, Vaid was asked about the investigation and he said that he is cooperating with the Vigilance Bureau and that whatever documents are required will be provided.

Vaid served in different posts in District Administration, Municipal Corporation Ludhiana, and GLADA till he resigned as an IAS officer and joined the Congress in 2017. He won the Gill constituency election in 2017 but lost in 2022.

As of now, it is unclear what the bureau has found at his residence or the cafe. This is a developing story, more to come.
