Four Charged in Series of Armed Robberies in Mississauga and Brampton

Peel Regional Police have arrested and charged four individuals, including two teenagers, in connection with a series of armed robberies that occurred in Mississauga and Brampton. The authorities have indicated that additional charges may be forthcoming.

The first incident took place on March 24 near Main St. and Steeles Ave. in Brampton, where armed men entered a pharmacy brandishing a handgun. Threatening the store occupants, the robbers successfully absconded with both money and narcotics, making their escape in a waiting getaway car nearby.

Following this initial robbery, two more armed hold-ups were reported at separate electronic stores in Mississauga on July 21 and again on Wednesday.

Fortunately, there were no physical injuries reported in any of the incidents. However, the robbers managed to steal a substantial amount of electronics, cash, and drugs during their criminal spree.

Among the arrested individuals are Mohamed Mohamed, 25, of Brampton, and Nabel Ali, 25, of Innisfil, along with a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old boy. The names of the teenage suspects cannot be disclosed due to the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The charges against the four include robbery, disguise with intent, possession of stolen property, and using an imitation firearm. Peel Regional Police assert that their investigation is still ongoing, and they anticipate the possibility of further charges being levied.
