Gangster Arsh Dalla’s Associate Among Six People Arrested by NIA
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested six people, including gangster Lucky Khokhar alias Denis. Khokhar is a close associate of Canada-based designated terrorist Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh Dalla. The accused have been arrested in connection to a gangster-terrorist case.
The NIA conducted raids at 76 locations recently which resulted in the arrest of the six people. They have been identified as Lucky Khokhar alias Denis, Lakhvir Singh, Harpreet, Dalip Bishnoi, Surinder alias Chiku Chaudhary, and Hari Om alias Titu. Khokhar was arrested earlier this week from Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan. According to reports, he was in direct contact with Arsh Dalla and had carried out recruitment for him.
The NIA said, “He had provided arms and ammunition to Arsh Dalla’s associates in Punjab on his directions, which were also used for carrying out the recent killing in Jagraon, Punjab, on directions of Dalla.”
On August 20, 2022, the NIA registered a suo-motu case against seven people including Harwinder Singh alias Rinda, Lakhbir Singh Sandhu alias Landa, and Arshdeep Singh. Deepak Ranga, one of the seven accused, was earlier arrested in the case by the NIA.
Reportedly, gangster Dalla has been involved in smuggling arms, ammunition, explosives, IEDs across international and inter-state borders in India. He has been accused of aiding several Khalistani terror outfits including the Khalistan Liberation Force, International Sikh Youth Federation, and Babbar Khalsa International.
