Gangster Sukha Barewal Shot Dead by Rival During Truce Meeting

Gangster Sukhpreet Singh alias Sukha Barewal was fatally shot by a suspected rival gang member during a meeting. There have been multiple cases of attack on Sukhpreet Singh in the past and it was suspected that he was at a meeting to come to a truce with one of his rivals.

The incident took place at Haibowal’s Joginder Nagar in Ludhiana where gangster Sukhpreet Singh alias Sukha Barewal and the accused met at a common friend’s house to settle their dispute. According to the police, the altercation got heated and the accused shot Barewal in the head.

Barewal had a history of violence and rivals trying to take him out. In 2016, some men barged into his house and shot at him. Then, in April 2022, some miscreants kidnapped him, but he managed to escape by jumping out of the moving car. It is suspected that the miscreants that kidnapped him then were the ones who shot him.

At this time, it is unclear if he was shot by a single individual or multiple.

Barewal had multiple cases of robbery, arms act, extortion, murder bid, and other crimes against him.
