Hamilton man faces new charges in child luring and pornography investigation
A 44-year-old man from Ancaster, Justin Zielke, who worked as a teacher in Milton and Oakville, is facing more charges for child luring, child pornography, and sexual assault, involving a girl in Brampton. Halton Regional Police Service had first announced charges against him in January for child luring on the internet.
According to a recent press release by the police service’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit, further investigations revealed that children from around the world were being lured online, recorded performing sexual acts, and often paid with Roblox gift cards as currency.
In February 2022, the accused allegedly met with and sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl in Brampton, leading to his arrest on January 5. On May 1, investigators laid an additional 28 charges against him, including four counts of voyeurism, five counts of accessing child pornography, nine counts of luring, four counts of making child pornography, two counts of extortion, and one count each of invitation to sexual touching, sexual interference, and obtaining sexual services from a minor.
Zielke worked as a teacher at St. Vincent Catholic Elementary School in Oakville from 2014 to 2016 and St. Matthew Catholic Elementary School in Oakville in 2013. He commonly used the online platform Omegle to target victims and went by handles like Dan Forest, D_lband202, Noah, and Martin Rivalo.
The police believe that there may be more victims and are urging anyone with information to contact the Halton Regional Police Service’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
