Hockey India grants permanent membership to Chandigarh Hockey
Chandigarh: Hockey India granted the long-awaited permanent membership to Hockey Chandigarh in recognition of its outstanding contribution in promoting hockey. Meanwhile, the Chandigarh hockey men’s team won the silver medal in the fourth Arjan Marshal Memorial Hockey Tournament 2023 which was held at 3BRD Airforce Chandigarh. In that concern Hockey Chandigarh organized a felicitation ceremony on April 24 at Hotel Park Grand – 43, here to honour the young Chandigarh hockey players along with the coach and manager who gave the laurel to the city Beautiful Chandigarh.
According to Anil Vohra, Genl. Secy., Anup Gupta Mayor MC Chandigarh was the chief guest and Rohit Grover M.D. JREW Company was the guest of honor and gave away the memento with a cash award of Rs 20,000 each to all the Silver Medalist along with coach Gurminder Singh and Manager Dr. G.S Gill and he gave blessing to the players and best of luck to Hockey Chandigarh for the upcoming events.
On this occasion senior office bearers of Hockey Chandigarh namely President Karan Gilhotra, Sr. Vice President Dr. P.J Singh, Chief Patron Dr. Chander Shekhar, Satinder Sharma, Sarvesh Sharma, Simardeep Kaur, S.K Goswami, Paramjit Kaur, Gurinder Rana, Amolak Singh, Rajinder Gandhi, Pardeep Singh, T.P Singh, Avtar Singh, Inderjit Grewal, Jaswinder Singh and other Members were present.
Hockey Chandigarh president Karan Gilhotra welcomed the Chief Guest, distinguished guests, specially the players who bring a great honour for Hockey Chandigarh. He assured the members that he will do the best to take hockey Chandigarh to the new heights.
Dr. P.J Singh Sr. Vice President Hockey Chandigarh thanked the Chief Guest, present members and Boost the Moral of the players as well as the members of Hockey Chandigarh he assured the members that he will always be in the forefront of promotion of Hockey. (Our National Game) and such a type of Felicitation function will be carried over whenever the Chandigarh team gives the laurel to the City Beautiful.
