“I’m late for the party” Says Teenager Charged For Stunt Driving

The OPP has imposed a 14-day vehicle impoundment and a 30-day license suspension on the young driver.

An 18-year-old driver found himself in hot water after being pulled over by the Burlington Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) for going over 199km/hr, way above the speed limit. The young motorist faces a slew of charges, including Stunt Driving, speeding, and careless driving.

The driver’s audacious excuse, claiming he was “late for a party,” did little to sway the officers’ decision as they proceeded to lay multiple charges against him.

To underscore the gravity of the situation, the OPP has imposed a 14-day vehicle impoundment and a 30-day license suspension on the young driver. These measures are aimed at not only penalizing the offender but also deterring others from engaging in similar dangerous driving behaviors.
