Indian-origin Teenage Girl from Vaughan Missing, Search Operation Underway
A 13-year-old girl from Vaughan has gone missing since Tuesday afternoon and York Regional Police has asked anyone with information to come forward. The Indian-origin girl named Katina Juneja was last spoke to her family members at around 4:20 p.m. that day.
York Regional Police is searching for a 13-year-old girl named Katina Juneja who lives in the Autumn Hill Boulevard and Thornhill Woods Drive area, just north of Highway 407 and Bathurst Street, Vaughan. According to the police, “She has not returned home, and her family and police have not been able to locate her. Investigators are concerned for her well-being and safety.”
Juneja left her house with none of her belongings and the police shared that this does not seem like an abduction case. A search and rescue operation is underway and a Command Post has been set up at 9000 Bathurst St, Vaughan. Juneja is described as five feet, four-inches with black hair. She was last seen wearing a long black jacket with fur around the hood, a dark-blue sweater, black pants, and black shoes.
