Lawrence Bishnoi, Raju Basodi Directed 2019 Killings, Reveals Shooter Deepak Ranga
Lawrence Bishnoi and Raju Basodi were behind the shootings that took the life of Sonu Shah in 2019 and the murder of two college students, along with other murders. Shooter Deepak Ranga who was arrested by the NIA earlier this year and shared with the police that he carried out the shootings on the directions of Lawrence Bishnoi and Raju Basodi.
UT police brought Deepak Ranga on a production warrant in connection to the murder of Sonu Shah after he was arrested earlier this year by the NIA. On September 28, 2019, Sonu Shah was gunned down in his office by Ranga, along with Rajan, Manjit Mota, Subham Bigni, Abhishek, alias Banti. Ranga was also main accused in the rocket-propelled grenade attack on the Punjab Police headquarters in Mohali.
Ranga revealed to the police that the shootings were carried out under the directions of gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Raju Basodi. He also revealed that the killing of the two college students at a rented accommodation was directed by Basodi. Ranga, along with Ankit Narwal, Kalu, Sheelu, and Amit, went to the accommodation in December 2019. They ended up shooting the two friends of the person they were after.
A police official shared information about two other killings that Ranga was involved in and said, “Deepak had killed gangster Rana Kandowalia at a hospital in Amritsar in July 2021. He had also killed Sanjay Biyani in Nanded, Maharashtra, on the directions of terrorist Harvinder Singh Sandhu, alias Rinda.”
As of now, it is unclear what action will be taken against Ranga.
