Major Narco Terror Module Busted Near LOC in Jammu and Kashmir, Links to Punjab being Investigated

Seven kilograms of heroin and around Rs. 2 crore cash, among other things, have been seized from a drug peddler near the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. The major narco terror module is suspected to have links in Punjab, which are being investigated.

Rafi Lal, a notorious drug peddler was arrested near the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. He was part of a major narco-terror module that has now been busted. Security forces seized seven kilograms of heroin and around Rs. 2 crore cash. They also found a Pistol with one magazine, 10 rounds, and seven rounds of SLR. The terror module is said to have links with Punjab-based narco smugglers which are being investigated.

The house of the drug peddler was searched by a joint team of the army, CRPF, and Jammu and Kashmir police, according to Mukesh Singh, additional director general of police Jammu.

As of now, it is unclear how the terror module is linked with Punjab. Like Punjab’s CM Bhagwant Mann, Jammu and Kashmir police has also intensified its drive against cross-border drug smuggling across the region. In a recent case, five army personnel and four others were arrested for their involvement in a drug smuggling racket from the Line of Control in Kupwara district.Rayhaderclinic
