Maryam, Fazl arrive at PDM sit-in outside SC

Islamabad: PML-N Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz and JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman have arrived at the Pakistan Democratic Movement’s (PDM) sit-in outside the SC.

Footage broadcast on TV showed the two atop a makeshift stage and waving to the hundreds of protesters gathered. The two leaders are expected to address the crowd shortly.

The PDM has begun to convert their announced protest outside the Supreme Court into a sit-in, the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) has said.

In a tweet, the JUI-F said, “The management committee has finalised arrangements for the protest-sit-in outside the Supreme Court [in] Islamabad. The management committee has begun arrangements for converting the protest into a sit-in.”
