Toronto: Netflix’s popular series Black Mirror will be returning after a four-year hiatus with season 6. The streaming site released the first teaser of the upcoming season that shows a range of dark and thrilling stories with an exciting cast. The show is known for its top acting talent cast in every season. This season has Salma Hayek, Aaron Paul, Annie Murphy, Josh Hartnett, Kate Mara, Michael Cera and Rory Culkin, among others.

The announcement teases that season 6 “is the most unpredictable, unclassifiable and unexpected yet”. It is set to release in June. Charlie Brooker, the writer, creator and executive producer of the series, said, “I’ve always felt that Black Mirror should feature stories that are entirely distinct from one another, and keep surprising people — and myself — or else what’s the point? It should be a series that can’t be easily defined, and can keep reinventing itself.”

He added that he started writing the show by “upending some of my own core assumptions about what to expect”. The show, which originally started on Channel 4 in 2011 before moving to Netflix in 2016, has won multiple awards including eight Emmys.
