New BLS Centres To Open In Mississauga And Halifax, All Attestation Services To Be Processed By BLS

In a move aimed at enhancing accessibility and improving service delivery, BLS International Services Canada Inc. is set to open two new service centres in Mississauga and Halifax, starting January 1, 2024. The Consulate General of India in Toronto announced this expansion, which will bring BLS services closer to residents in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Nova Scotia regions.

New Service Centres Details:

i) Mississauga Centre

ii) Halifax Centre

These centres will accept applications for Passport, Visa, OCI, and attestation services in person, accommodating both appointments and walk-in applicants. The strategic locations aim to provide convenient access to a wide range of consular services for the Indian community in these regions.

In addition to the expansion of BLS services, the Consulate General of India in Toronto also announces the outsourcing of all attestation services to BLS International Services Ltd., effective from January 1, 2024. This move is part of an ongoing effort to improve efficiency and streamline the attestation process.

Further, from January 1, 2024, all attestation services will be exclusively accepted at BLS International Services Ltd. centres. Comprehensive information regarding application procedures, fees, and related details can be found on the BLS website: http://www.blsindia-canada.com.

The Consulate will not entertain any applications for attestation after December 31, 2023. However, the Consulate will continue to accept applications directly for the following services:

i) Life Certificates
ii) Registration of Birth
iii) Registration of Death of Indian National
iv) NOCs for Transportation of Mortal Remains to India
v) NRI Certificates
vi) NORI Certificates

This dual announcement reflects the Consulate’s commitment to providing efficient and accessible consular services, meeting the diverse needs of the Indian community in the region.
