NS man pleades guilty for the killing of a Punjabi Boy
A 22-year-old man from Nova Scotia was arrested on Wednesday afternoon, during a traffic stop for the killing of Prabhjot Singh Katri.
A 22-year-old man from Nova Scotia has pleaded guilty to the killing of Prabhjot Singh Katri.
Singh was a 23-year-old man who came from Canada to India to study in 2017. He was stabbed in the neck when he was getting into his vehicle outside an apartment complex. He was working two jobs to support his mother back in India.
Cameron James Prosper had been charged with a second-degree murder but pleaded guilty guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter on December 19, 2022.
Cameron James Prosper, 20 and Dylan Robert MacDonald, 21 were charged with second-degree murder and accessory after the fact to murder for allegedly helping Prosper escape the crime scene, respectively. Multiple provincewide arrests were issued for Denny between July 1 and October 17 including impaired driving, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon, resisting arrest, obstructing a peace officer and failing to comply with a condition of a release order.
As per the facts of the case read aloud by teh Crown prosecutor, Proper was in the parking lot even before Katri left the apartment.
